Well my daughters party was a success. Let me tell you how the weekend started. On Friday we received a call from school my daughter had a high fever and she needed to be picked up. She said nothing was wrong she only had a headache (my guess from the fever it was 102). So I told her I would have to cancel her party (part of my maybe was wishing), but I would see how she was in the morning. She did not have a fever all day so I decided to go ahead and let the party happen. About 3:30 I noticed she was being very quite so I took her temp and yet again it was at 102. Again, nothing wrong. I have her some Motrin and fever dropped. I was not able to get a hold of parents ahead of time to tell them most of them were at Powhatan’s Christmas Parade or I did not have phone numbers. I told all of them when they dropped their child off they all said yea there is something going around call me if I need to come pick her up. I was very surprised about that but I guess they felt if Kayla was fine they were fine. Strange. Anyway they all showed so I ended up with 12 girls, they had a blast and it wasn’t too bad just a lot of screaming. However, I could not sleep, I told the girls that I would be lying on the couch all night if they needed me. I do not sleep well on the couch so I was up all night maybe dozing off 20 minutes at a time. Watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and then around 7:00 am got up and started breakfast.

My family couldn’t make the original time I scheduled Kayla’s family birthday party so some came on Saturday afternoon and some Sunday morning. I was up from Saturday at 7:00 am until Sunday at 7:00 pm. I was exhausted by the time the last guest left.

I survived the kids and learned my lesson on sleepovers, even my daughter stated no more sleepovers with that many people.

I think this will be my final post. I have a busy week ahead, my daughter turns 8 on Saturday and silly me said yes to a sleep over party. She has invited some where around 17, seven and eight year old girls. So far seven have responded. The problem with this age is they like to scream. Oh the Pain! I have my niece coming over that night to help me with pedicure, manicure and hairstyles. I am serving Pizza and making a cake. I think pancakes for the morning. If anyone has any other ideas to entertain all these girls throw them at me. This is my first time hosting a sleepover party.

Well back to studying for my final in ISYS203 and I need to sort through my Avon, so I can deliver to my customers tomorrow.

I cannot believe it is finally here. The semester is ending. I am working on our final assignment, do not think it will take me too long I started working on it a couple of weeks ago. I think I will reread the stories and revise from any new information I have read.

I enjoyed our party the other day the food was awesome. That was my first time eating Duck and I thought it was wonderful, thank you Sandy. The Apple Pie speechless.

Busy Week

We have been busy at our house getting ready for Christmas. We set up two Christmas trees, two winter villages, and a nativity scene. My daughter has really helped decorate this year, she put all the ornaments on the both trees.

Work is crazy, it is open enrollment time and year end processing. I need to be at work 10 to 12 hour days and I just cannot do it. There is always something happening in the evening. I am either doing school work or running with my daughter. I have put over 300 miles on my car in less than a week. “Oh the Pain”

I am trying to blog and make the mac & cheese and watch the biggest loser. I just got home about a half hour ago. I am going to look over my paper one final time and just be done with it. I will continue working on my annotated bibliography Thursday and Friday night. Saturday I need to finish up my database project.

Thanksgiving Here and Gone

I enjoyed our break over Thanksgiving. I did not have any one at my house that day, but I did my fair share of cooking. I made Mac & Cheese, a cake, Williamsburg Bread, and a veggie dish. I noticed I ate way too many carbs this weekend. So it looks like a lot of time on the treadmill for me.

Now that Turkey day is here and gone it is back to school work. I am almost finished with my paper I am a few paragraphs shy of the 7-8 pages needed. So I will be working on that today and tomorrow.

Hamster Again

Well I got home from class last night and my husband was up in the bed watching Ultimate Fighting. That is the worst sport I have ever seen. Grown men punching and kicking eachother to the first one passes out. I do not get it. So I went down stairs and watch some Law and Order SVU, maybe not the best show but at least I know it is not real blood.

I went to bed around 11:15 and my son came home from work about 5 minutes later so we started talking about life. My daughter woke up (she was actually sleep walking) did her business in the bathroom and came into my bed instead of hers. I do not know if any of you have experienced anyone sleep walking but when they do go back to sleep it is impossible to wake them up. So I just moved over, so I was between my husband and my daughter. About two hours later my eight pound dog decided she wanted to snuggle with me as well. When the alarm went off at 6:00 this morning I had leg cramps and my arm was tingling.

I walked past my daughters room and her door was open and yet again the hamster was M.I.A. I did not have time to look for the hamster but my husband was home today so that was his task. About an hour later he sent me a text message, it was a chase and a battle but he found the hamster and he was home sweet home.

I am going to place my Avon order now and then start working on my paper or at least an outline of some sort. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and to those of you traveling drive careful. See you on December 3.

Well I did not get today off to finish up my paper, so I am going to start on it shortly. I really did try to leave early today, first at 1:00, then 2:00, hoped for 3:00, ended up getting out at 4:45. I usually leave at 5:00. I had to go to the grocery store. I do not mind grocery shopping but I hate bringing the grocery bags in the car and unpacking when I get home. I ate some dinner, just a frozen one didn’t have time to cook.

At work today we were trying to figure out a work-out schedule where some co-workers could come over to my house and work-out with me. We could not find a day where we all had open until Tuesday of next week. I am going to try and get up to my work out room sometime this evening, it is so sad that I have a complete gym in my house and I can’t get up a flight of stairs to work-out.

Struggling

I have been working on my paper this morning and hit a inspirational block. I feel I can write better when I do not have structure of what I am suppose to write about. I do the same thing at work if I need to write a letter I find myself writing it a couple of times and then I finally just settle on something. I will continue plugging away this morning but I have some family stuff I have to do later on today. I might take Tuesday off of work to write some more. Ugh the pain!

School Work

I am here at my computer Saturday morning. I am working on my ISYS class assignment, but I am having trouble concentrating on it. I keep thinking about our paper. I have a deadline today in my ISYS class, oh the pain. I have really enjoyed going back to school but with the holidays approaching I am ready for a break.

My daughter is staying with her grandparents this weekend so my husband and I can get started on our Christmas shopping. With times being financially tough this year will be a bit more slimmer than years past. We are planning on going out a little later this afternoon and then have a nice dinner.

I will hopefully be able to work on my paper a little bit today but hope I finish tomorrow so I can send Happy my draft. Have a good weekend.
